Cultural projects to create museums, the challenges of raising iconic skyscrapers of tomorrow in the country’s largest cities and the needs of social housing attract international architects to bet on our country.<\/span><\/p>

Below we share with you the works of internationally recognized architects with the Pritzker Prize<\/strong> that are still standing in our country. The imposing building dedicated to art, architecture and design that forms the Centro Roberto Garza Sada of the Universidad de Monterrey was designed by Tadao Ando. According to the architect himself, the idea for this structure came from a box with a pair of cuts in the center that form a transitory space between the ground and the upper floor of the building, later known as \u00abthe Gate of Creation\u00bb. To bring his idea to reality, Tadao Ando conducted several studies that resulted in a novel and unique campus of its kind in Mexico.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Designed by Richard Meier & Partners, the Reforma Towers are two structures with transparencies that allow visibility to the exterior and vice versa, favoring temporary location and connection with the surroundings. Its urban courtyard stands out, created from the concept of a central void and where a public space is created that integrates the building with the landscape of Mexico City.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The most ambitious architectural project of the last decades in Puebla was designed by Toyo Ito. The structure of the International Museum of the Baroque is elegant and monolithic: formed with irregular walls that emulate movement as a starting point to explain the baroque, the semi-open spaces and bodies of water made this museum a new meeting point in the capital of Puebla.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In 1957, Mies van der Rohe received a call from the Cuban liquor company to design a building for Bacardi’s offices at the Tultitl\u00e1n plant, in the eastern part of Mexico City’s Metropolitan Zone. The result was an open-plan complex that adheres to the German’s architectural style, with two floors and a rigid structure that allows visibility from the outside, a jewel that few in our country know about.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Built in 2015 and designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, it is the second tallest building in the capital (236 meters) and one of the contemporary icons of Mexico City. With elevated gardens that create living spaces on a human scale, a diagonal geometric facade that maintains a play of light and shadow inspired by Mexican traditions, the Torre Bancomer welcomes the Chapultepec Forest and offers the best views of it.<\/span><\/p>
